In the last few weeks, I’ve been working with an analysis that I first started 3 years ago. The study
was accepted for an international conference in late 2019 and some of the questions that came
up from the audience rekindled my ambition of improving on the original analysis.
This week’s #TidyTuesday topic is international powerlifting. While it’s certainly not a topic I know much about or am particularly interested in, the description of the data suggests there’s plenty to dig into.
Last week, I was drafting a report to summarise some data generated by one of the programmes I support. When I looked online for any packages that might simplify this, I realised that there were a number of different options. Importantly, I wasn’t so interested in generating summary statistics, but to do this and present them in a way that would be acceptable for reporting purposes including research manuscripts.
For a first blog post, I thought to jump into a great online community called #TidyTuesday and add my own small contribution to the weekly event.
